In a bid to generate its own share to Canada’s realization of its dream of inviting over one million immigrants in the next three years, the province of New Brunswick has initiated an African movement called the “New Brunswick African Recruitment Fair” which is targeted creating exciting career opportunities. This process explores the values of experiences and skills of newcomers from all over the world, especially Africa.
The summit would consist of job fairs that would be divided into information sessions and instant recruitment events which would be held by several prospective employers.
This would serve as an exceptional platform for these employers to run a 100 percent survey on their prospective candidates in order to prompt a hire. This would, in turn, encourage an opportunity for employers to have a physical interaction with prospective international candidates.
The trick to getting selected under the New Brunswick African Recruitment Fair is to be a bi-lingual candidate because New Brunswick is a bilingual province with its dominant languages being French and English, a bilingual candidate possesses a high chance of selection than candidates only proficient in the English language.
This is New Brunswick’s way of bringing Canada to immigrants all over Africa, with well-detailed information sessions on employment, candidates can have a mental picture and brace themselves for the Canadian Labor market techniques before even arriving in Canada.

- NOC 6322: Cooks.
- NOC 6551: Customer Service Representative.
- NOC 6552: Other Customer and Information Services Representatives.
- NOC 7231: Machinists.
- NOC 7231: Tool and Die Makers.
- NOC 7511: Transport and Truck Drivers.
- NOC 8241: Logging Machinery Operators.
- NOC 9526: Mechanical Assemblance and Inspectors.

Most especially Senegal since it is a stone throw from Nigeria and it is a visa-free country, making it the most accessible neighboring francophone country.
