The Government of Canada is continually bringing its promise of welcoming over a million skilled workers overseas (to help flourish the Canadian economy) to light by inviting 3,600 Express Entry candidates to apply for permanent residence in its new draw held November 13, 2019. For this draw, the minimum required Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS) cut- off was 472. This is an expected yet unpredictable three-point decrease from the previous draw, which was held on October 30 with a cut-off score of 475.
Canada with the help of the Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada has operated the Express Entry System as a platform to manage candidates from all tiers of Canada’s immigration categories- the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trade Class, and the Canadian Experience Class.
Please note that having A job offer was not a requirement for eligibility to receive an Express Entry Invitation to Apply. However, candidates with a secured jo offer attract additional points to their CRS scores.
For candidates whose CRS scores are below 472 and have not been invited, do not worry, Canada has provided alternative routes which you can use to increase your CRS score and the most potent option is the provincial nomination which once received grants you a whopping 600 CRS points which would automatically be added to your Express Entry Score.
